I just wanted to let you know that since my child has been working with his tutor, Jasper, he has improved in his reading. He is an IEP student and can have trouble with reading and math. His library teacher at school let me know that she can tell that his reading has improved a lot and I let her know that he was working with a tutor to improve in his reading and math. When I sit down with him to work on math (on my days off), I can see him using the skills that Jasper provided him when he is trying to get the answer of a math problem. Thank you Jasper for having the patience with working with my child. It definitely shows.
All three of my kids come here and they really seems to like it. They've learned a lot since they first started. Although they're home-schooled, this program has really helped them further their reading and math skills.
At first, I didn't like it because I thought it was for little kids but then I started to like it. Getting personal help for my math was good because my tutor helped me all throughout the school year and I got to ask him a lot of questions. I started to learn a lot just by showing up and really paying close attention.
I like the program, it helped me get my grades better and I loved the snacks and playing with the Legos. My tutor was a big help. I want my friends to come here too.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION
Smart Kids, Inc. engages with a lot of students, volunteers, and staff members of different ethnic groups. It is with great understanding that all participants recognize the importance of working side by side with people from different backgrounds. Our team deals with diversity everyday in the workplace, when providing our program services to students with the Greater St. Louis region. We make it a priority to discuss, implement, and practice the importance of policies and procedures of diversity training. We never want to make feel uncomfortable when participating in our organization.
Being that we all come from different backgrounds at Smart Kids, Inc., it is understood that we have great equity at all times. One of our first priorities is to treat everyone with respect and dignity. We also provide the same opportunities to enhance the student’s educational growth.
As an organization that deals with a lot of diverse students with different backgrounds, we want everyone to feel comfortable and for them to be themselves. It is already hard for students to seem perfect with social media telling them what is perfect and what it not. That is not our environment and we strive to make it a better experience when participating in our programs. We have all walks of life that we work hand in hand with and we aim for them to be their full selves. Being yourselves and being comfortable here at Smart Kids, Inc. makes it easier for you to be successful and really learn what you need better through our tutoring sessions.
